Welcome/Bienvenue to

The Winnipeg Clinic

The Winnipeg Clinic is one of the largest multispecialty clinics in Canada.

Research Activities

Physicians at the Winnipeg Clinic have been involved with medical research since the inception of the Winnipeg Clinic in 1938. Until the establishment of the Medical Research Council of Canada, the Winnipeg Clinic Research Institute was the main funder for medical research in Manitoba. The Winnipeg Clinic continues its tradition of clinical research with many of its physicians being active in clinical research studies in a wide range of disease processes.

The Winnipeg Clinic has an independent Ethics Committee which reviews all clinical research being performed through the Winnipeg Clinic and its physicians. The committee consists of physicians in different areas of interest encompassing both medical and surgical specialties and also has lay representation. The Winnipeg Clinic Ethics Committee functions independently from the pharmaceutical companies sponsoring the research studies.

Current areas of research include diseases of the skin (atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne), respiratory illness (allergic rhinitis, asthma, COPD), prostate diseases, cholesterol disorders, diabetes, and glaucoma.

If you are interested in participating in a clinical research study, please contact either Kathy Peters or Brenda Bradley (Clinical Research Nurses) at (204) 957-3390.
