Profile

Dr. Tenley Bower graduated in 2008 with her medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She completed her ophthalmology at McGill University in 2013 where she graduated with the Resident Surgical Skills Award. She then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, Anterior Segment, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Bower is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. Throughout her medical school, residency, and fellowship training, Dr. Bower presented her scientific research at national and international ophthalmology meetings such as the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She has also published research papers in peer reviewed ophthalmology journals. Born and raised in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Dr. Bower is pleased to return to the prairies to practice ophthalmology. Before medicine, she completed an associate degree in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto (ARCT) while graduating with distinction in high school. Music and medicine are two passions in Dr. Bower's life. Dr. Tenley Bower's practice is open for all ophthalmologic consults and referrals including comprehensive ophthalmology, cornea, anterior segment, and external disease.
